I had never heard of this author before purchasing this book so I came into it blind. I enjoyed this book because of many things but the one thing that sticks out to me, as a writer, is to never give up.
Encouragement is something every writer craves and Bennington does give us that in this book. Don't ever give up. I think he shares candidly about himself as a writer to show us where he has come from to where he is. This gives us great encouragement and the new writer just stepping on the scene and publishing their book thinking the dollars will roll in, Bennington gives us a reality check. Not a reality check thumbing his nose but one in terms of a mentor that says, hey congrats on writing the book, but you're not done yet, have you heard of building a platform? Do you know why you need an editor? And last but not least, write because you love to write not because of sales.
There is much more but you should buy this book, it is perfect for encouraging the seasoned writer as well as the newly published or soon to be published.
